PCI DSS compliance software ranges from free processor portals to full compliance platforms. It can organise questionnaires, evidence and reminders. However, it cannot fix a missing control or validate your compliance.

What PCI DSS compliance software cannot do
It cannot decide scope, segment a network or change how staff handle card data. Also, it cannot sign anything, because validation belongs to you on a questionnaire or to a QSA. So treat it as support, not as the answer.
Is PCI DSS compliance software worth buying?
For a small merchant with a hosted checkout, a processor portal is often enough. However, larger environments with many controls usually benefit from a platform. Also, version 4.0.1 requirements such as 11.6.1 often need a specific monitoring tool. The standard is in the PCI SSC document library.
Before buying, list the requirements you actually need to evidence. Then check which ones the product covers, because some features may not apply to your form at all.
